As-yet-unknown (D) for President, 2016

Sometime by mid 2015, there will be a half dozen or so people running for the Democratic nomination for President.

I will pick one to support. If and when that person's candidacy reaches a point where they can't win, I will switch my support to my next best choice... and so on.

Then in November of '16 I will vote for, and work my ass off for, the last D standing, whoever that is....

Because the paramount goal is keeping 1600 Penn out of GOP hands... no matter what.

Lose the White House and we lose everything... judgeships, appointments, treaties, military actions, regulators, DOJ .. everything..... is better with any D sitting in the oval office instead of any R.

The most moderate R is still worse than the worst D because of the people that would surround him or her.

So... you can all promote your fantasy candidates all you want, and that includes Hillary and her supposed inevitability ... which I don't buy.

But nobody has declared ... and until I see who wants the job, it seems pretty stupid to speculate.

When your agenda is to keep the R out of power, this shit is very straight forward and easy.

Democrat for President, 2016. Whoever she or he may be.

Tired of the crony nepotism dynasties. I hope someone isn't too afraid to step up against these old power brokers. Hoping for divine intervention isn't going to cut it. Warren/Grayson 2016. We need someone with courage and someone who at least attempts to keep their promises.

NEVER be elected to national public office. He's too caustic and confrontative for the national arena.
Yours dream ticket is a pipedream with zero chance of realization, I fear.

People appreciate straight talk and honest even when abrasive. The paradigm is shifting. Case in point is Christie from NJ. People respond to him because no one likes a wimp which has always been many Democrats problem...we always back down. Warren and Grayson won't. If not them find another fighter who is not an insider.

Medicare, Medicaid, and Food Stamps.. if they had their way and they would certainly try it. War on Everyone from the White House. Except of course those paying their bills. Lookin' at you Kochs.

I see nothing but logic in your post, thank you, sd.

As is the OP. I have too much personally to lose - to give one centimeter to the Far Right. And at this time - there is no such thing as an even remotely moderate Republican . . . That can win ther nomination.

And note - Chris Christie is no moderate. On the way to Trenton - and living in this state - this man is no friend to progressives, social issues, the middle class and most certainly not the poor. Yet he won again in a state with one of the highest unemployment rates in America where you can still pick up a house relatively cheap because there has been no economic recovery in NJ -Because he has stood in the way of the President.

We can do that at the same time as preparing for 2014. We humans are complex creatures, capable of juggling more than one thing at a time.

Well, I can play that game, too.

Lizbeth Salander for President (We'll work out the citizenship issue -- it's fantasy, after all): Equal rights for LBGT and women. The big bankers would be utterly fucked.

Bugs Bunny for President: Very smart; exceptionally clever. The GOP wouldn't stand a chance. (As long as he makes that turn at Albuquerque.) Plus, we'd have plenty of laughs.

Cthulhu! Give the GOP what they desperately desire, global devastation?

Come on DUers! Pick your own fantasy football 2016 presidential candidates.

It's fun!

You will WAIT for candidates to decide to run before choosing one.

You won't do anything to encourage a candidate you might prefer to get into the race now

You won't complain once the candidates that none of them are acceptable

Do I have you right?
