We will never have adequate mental health care in this country

without single-payer. I won't go into my personal hell. The fact is: It is almost impossible to find a psychiatrist taking new patients. Three insurance plans and cash doesn't help. Two therapists and a doctor looking. No psychiatrist available. As an educated and experienced consumer of mental health services, it should be a snap to get help but it's not.

Single-payer is necessary not just to help the patients, but to encourage young people to pursue medical careers.

I'll stop here before I go back on my word and tell my horror story. (I can go to the Mental Health group for that.)
