Update: Liberty University Student Killed in Dorm Shooting

UPDATE: 11:31 a.m.

Lynchburg, VA – Police are investigating a deadly shooting Tuesday morning at Liberty University's off-campus dorm, called the Residential Annex.

ABC 13 learned in a press briefing Tuesday morning that a male student is dead.

Lt. Dave Gearhart with LPD says Lynchburg officers were called to the Annex as backup at 4:07 a.m.

Gearhart says their preliminary investigation reveals that an LU emergency services officer and a male LU student were involved in an altercation.
