If Trey Radel had been black or hispanic would of he got off so easy?

I had a white friend like Radel with no priors caught with cocaine that received the same treatment. A black co-worker also with no priors received 6 months in jail, 3 years probation and a $1000 fine for buying a few grams of cocaine. He got out after two months in jail, but still he received jail time while my friend got off easy.

He was the mayor of Wasington DC and he was black, his punishment was much worse than Radel's.

Rashida was part of a sting set up by Joe Di Genova to entrap Barry. At the time, Di Genova was the US Attorney for DC and recall his rightwing wife Victoria Toensing used to make regular appearances on cable "news" shows.

I'm no apologist for Barry, but I lived in DC for 40 years and was there when this episode happened. Barry went to the Westin to hook up with Rashida, literally. When it was clear that the sex he came for was not going to happen, she offered crack and he smoked it... all caught on hidden camera.

If he were poor would he have gotten off so easy? The thing most people in prison for drug crimes usually have in common isn't race -- prisons are veritable pinnacles of multiculturalism -- it's class.
