The people will like that the Democrats are trying to do something...
to help the people and to stop the obstruction by the Republican Tea Partiers. The majority of Americans do not hate our government.
Even with Obamacare, at least the Democrats are trying to help those 40 million people without health insurance and are trying to bring down the costs of health insurance for all America. Republicans have nothing to offer but criticism.
With todays vote on the filibuster, the people will be able to see some progress. The obstructionists have been defeated and that will be a popular idea. Advantage - Democrats.
