I was inspired to post this when I heard of the debate between Liz and Mary Cheney on gay marriage. Both the Cheney daughters seem to love children but still the marriage issue seems to separate them.
Yet one has to admit that gay parents must REALLY want kids as it is not an easy process to get them, even for the women. The woman explains how one has to consider issues of finding a donor, the legal considerations and finally how the extended family may react. Personally I think the child the couple in the interview have will certainly be cherished and nurtured.

Is there a social difference in the way people treat gay males who want to adopt and lesbian couples going for artificial insemination?

Playing the role of the zealous social conservative, he asked Rick Santorum point blank,
"What if they (children) have no mother or father? Wouldn't it be better for them to have NO parents than be loved by two gay people?"
Santorum could not recover.
