In a speech to supporters at a fund-raiser Friday night in Lexington, Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell vowed that the first thing he would do, when he becomes Senate Majority leader, will be to "restore the rights of the minority in the Senate by reinstating the 60 vote threshhold to move nominations to a vote."

Adding to the humor, some of the Freepers missed the "satire" tag and denounced McConnell for his supposed appeasement. For example, FlingWingFlier wrote:

This buffoon is a total retard. The commie ‘RATS hand him a weapon to take them all out if and when the good guys ever take back the government and he wants to give it back to them. McConnell has to be the dumbest SOB to ever come down the pike.

Uh, actually, FlingWing, I think he might have some competition for that title. Just sayin'.
