What is going on with you tube google?

I am sorry if I posted this in the wrong place but I didn't know where else to go for an answer.


Since my wife has been on you tube she has basically used a nickname on the "Channel" now for the past month she has not been able to post comments to videos. Even though she has posted comments on a couple channels and have been good friends with some you tubers for years.


Every time she tries it demands she choose to put her REAL NAME on the page or she can still go by her user name. She picks the only name she has ever used and it says Ok we will ask again later and it won't let her post anything. send private messages nothing.


can anyone tell me why this is happening. AND no she doesn't feel comfortable using her real name.

1. Google changed the rules. You 'have' to use your real name now.

I choose to use nothing associated with Google.

3. I think she needs a Google account using her real name.

Asks me to choose periodically, and I always decline to use my real name.

5. Just make up a "real name"

6. I started having that problem, too.

They want everyone to use Google+ to make comments now. I refuse to do it & I'm about this >< close to shutting down my Google account altogether.
