Look, I do not know who was really behind JFK's assassination, nor do I claim to have any special insight that has not long been available to the general public. But does that mean I have to accept that the findings of the Warren Commission make good sense?
This healthy suspicion is hardly unique to me. In fact, rather than go over all the things that seem wrong with the official story, I'm just going to link ya'll to this npr story. There's a good bit of evidence to back up its headline that "inconsistencies haunt the official record of Kennedy's death." I will never believe that the Warren Commission had access to the whole story, nor do I expect any of us to ever learn the truth, but that is a far cry from being some loon in a tinfoil hat.

(1,070 posts)People frequently ask for rigorous proof when someone dares question an official story.
But, an honest appraisal of our history shows that it is more reasonable to assume that the official version is covering up evil, oppressive tactics, and that a really good question is:
Why on Earth should we believe the official story?

I'm not so sure that the Warren Commission didn't have access to the whole story, but it is obvious that they published the sanitized version deemed to be acceptable for release and buried many details. I'm not a CTist myself, but I know that we haven't been told the whole story.
