You said it but I got it published

It came from many sources but it was too good not to pass along. This Sunday, the Arizona Daily Star published my letter to the editor, to wit, "If Sarah Palin is upset about how liberal Pope Francis is, wait till she hears about Jesus"

In and of itself, getting my letter published is no big deal. I get one published every month and have for years. I don't even save them anymore. What made my day was the email I received from the editor of the opinion page of the Arizona Star the day before they published my letter which said, in effect, "I'm sorry that there is no award for letter of the year, but if there was, this letter would get it.

For those of you who think Arizona is a bastion of teabaggers, think again. We are going to turn Az. Blue next year!

Always was tinged blue. Ya gotta work on "LA in the Desert" up north of you an hour or so...

Other than that, I am highly envious that you live there. I wish I could move back sometimes.

And your letter was PRICELESS!

... I have had many letters published in the local paper. Some resulted in positive phone calls and letters. On one occasion I received a personal letter from Senator Sherrod Brown.

As Democrats, we have truth on our side, and as Martin Luther King said, lies can't live forever.

Especially if it gets my idiot Arizona State Legislature representative Brenda Barton thrown out of office! Her big claim to fame? She recently picked up some buzz in the media for publicly comparing President Obama to Hitler. Sadly most of the fools in my part of the state praised her for making the comparison. If I could figure out a way to make it work I'd pull up stakes and move to Tucson or Flag.

that I think of the Simpsons episode where all the giant statues come to life and start destroying the town.

Lisa convinces everyone to stop paying attention to them because that is the source of their power.

If they all stop watching them and reacting they would lose their power and go away.

I wish we would all do that to the following... in not particular order:

Sarah palin
Ted Cruz
Louis Gohmert
Paul Ryan
Eric Cantor
Mitch McConnell
Lindsay Graham
Darrel Issa
Steve King
John Boehner
etc...

when she was asked by President Obama to be in his cabinet.
Unfortunately a Republican, Jan Brewer, was next in line in AZ to succeed Ms. Napolitano, and things went downhill after that.
