WASHINGTON Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu rebuked President Obama during a phone call Sunday about the controversial nuclear deal with Iran, an Israeli lawmaker claims.
The White House had described the phone call in bland terms, saying the two leaders reaffirmed their shared goal of preventing Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon and that they agreed to stay in close contact on this issue.
But Tzachi Hanegbi, a member of Israels Knesset, gave a far different account to Israeli television. Netanyahu made it clear to the most powerful man on Earth that if he intends to stay the most powerful man on Earth, its important to make a change in American policy because the practical result of his current policy is liable to lead him to the same failure that the Americans absorbed in North Korea and Pakistan, the Jerusalem Post quoted Hanegbi as saying. Hanegbi, like Netanyahu, is a member of Israels conservative ruling Likud Party.

Touting the deal in a speech Monday in San Francisco, Obama acknowledged that huge challenges remain.
But we cannot close the door on diplomacy, and we cannot rule out peaceful solutions to the worlds problems, he said. Without naming anyone, Obama took a swipe at those who have questioned the wisdom of engaging with Iran. Tough talk and bluster may be the easy thing to do politically, but its not the right thing for our security, he said.

Umm...you mean go back to the foreign policy under Bush? Yes Iraq and Afghanistan worked out so well for everyone.
I for one think sitting down at the negotiating table should be tried at least as half as long of the previous policy before declared a failure.
