Ted Cruz Quite Possibly Just Made His Most Ridiculous Statement — Ever

It’s no secret that I absolutely cannot stand Texas Senator Ted Cruz. I still go back and forth between him and Sarah Palin when trying to figure out who I loathe more. Currently the edge goes to Cruz simply because he’s actually a senator, whereas Sarah Palin is nothing more than a failed vice presidential candidate and the Alaska governor who quit before her first term was up.

That being said, it’s not difficult at all to find ample quotes from Ted Cruz that are completely absurd.

But while there are plenty of quotes proving Ted Cruz is an idiot, the context of his recent comments about Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid using the “nuclear option” to change the rules of the Senate might just be his most ridiculous ever.

During an exchange with Bloomberg News’ Al Hunt, Hunt asked Cruz about the change in the rules made by Senator Reid:

Hunt: Will it complicate passing budgets or debt ceilings or anything?
Cruz: Of course it will. I mean, it will poison the atmosphere of the Senate.

.....he is smart enough to know and keep in his mind at all times, the level of intelligence of the segment of the population that he needs to appeal to in order to prevail from a political standpoint. I think he knows just what he needs to say in order to accomplish his objectives.

I think that most of the people on this board are easily able to see through his entire act with ease, but keep in mind that we are by no means cut from an average intelligence segment of this country's population. Ever wonder why Fox News is so successful? Ever wonder why all the Wolf Blitzers of the broadcasting world are so successful?

Upon edit to add: I mean keep in mind people that the guy is a Rhodes Scholar. Think Rachel Maddow, gone bad. I would not want to mess with that woman if she were to all of a sudden embrace evil. I think her producers make her intentionally dumb her show down in order to appeal to a greater segment of the population. But I have also seen her when she holds nothing back, and I have been in total awe.

We live in an age where you can add text to a digital photograph, post it on Facebook, and 48% of the people who see it will believe whatever it is you wrote.

To quote a great song: we are credulous idiots.

All they have to do is say "Obama is the most radical leftist in human history" and people who are legitimately hurting will buy it, because that damned CRT/LED has been their sole arbiter of truth.

But let's the give the man the credit he's due. Given his dedication, he will no doubt say something less intelligent in the future.

Because I am sure this is going to be a habit where he bests his old record for making ridiculous statements the longer he talks.

I'm jus saying . . .

His government shutdown (even though he didn't want to) was good for the country. Harry Reid's maneuver was horribly bad for the country. That's the narrative, and the narrative becomes truth in a perverse way when your entire adult life is a series of layered lies and deception.

By the way, I don't think that those who don't follow politics closely give a damn about Reid's nuclear option, and if it's explained to them, they tend to side with Democrats. Ted Cruz can pound sand. No one cares what he thinks.
