The Iran deal is THE primary reason why I voted for Obama

I wanted two things from an Obama administration: (1) no more wars in the Middle East and (2) rollback of the Bush tax cuts for the wealthy, and I got both.

If McCain had won in 2008 or Romney in 2012, we would be gearing up for war in Iran. Bank on it.

1. I'm wondering if this could have been done with Hillary in office.

And I mean either as President or SoS.

Seems the DLCers are squealing like pigs over this. Hillary LOST to Obama. Hillary resigned as SoS (just in time to avoid much re-mentioning of the State Dept/UN spying stuff from 2012). Kerry becomes SoS and, wallah! Iran deal.

2. Not me. The first time was for universal healthcare. The second was 'cause he's not Romney.

Not to diminish his foreign policy achievements, which are many and significant, but they are not the reasons I supported him.

3. I didn't vote the first time. But he won me over after passing the ACA.

I thought candidate Obama was just another smooth talking politician. But after researching the Affordable Care Act, I realized that he can be incredibly capable at times.

And I do believe his intentions are good, even though I disagree with some of his more authoritarian aspects.

4. I have been pleased, generally, with the Obama administration's foreign policy.

But this is why I supported Obama over Clinton in 2008:



I still haven't quite gotten over that sense of betrayal.
