I formatted the results to show actual opposition versus those who don't believe the law goes far enough.

The majority in almost every demographic group (except white, Republican and conservative) "favor" the law or believe it's "not liberal enough."
Interestingly, Independents oppose the law 2 to 1 (65 to 34), but when asked why, 49 percent "favor" or believe the law is "not liberal enough," including 15 percent in the latter group.
Young people split 48 favor/48 oppose, but asked why 60 percent "favor" or believe the law is "not liberal enough," including 12 percent in the latter group.
Most people, including 70 percent of young people, reject the Republican spin that the law will fail.

(7,932 posts)as the people who are against it because of what Faux says. The ACA is a stepping stone to a better system. We need to keep fighting for Universal Health Care not give the right polls they can use as fodder to hurt the current system which is far far far far far better than the old system.

(22,912 posts)The media is complicit in furthering right wing spin that all those who oppose the ACA oppose it as government over reach. The true figures show that a majority of Americans OPPOSE the REPUBLICAN position on ACA.

It is telling us how the media spins this to favor RW talking points.
Thanks.
OH, BTW, most of us already knew this, but thanks for putting it in graphical content.
