Hmmm. Will the Pope meet an unfortunate end for speaking out about the Capitalistic

world? There is a lot to lose for those capitalist both within the RCC and those outside of it. I'm sure there must be some wheels starting turn. This could be serious.

not want to see the Pope stir up the "common folk" like he is doing. They would much prefer that the Pope focus on abortion, birth control, gay marriage, and various other issues to divide the "common folk" than discuss the elephant in the room.

"Angels and Demons" -- not a very good book/movie. I liked Da Vinci Code, though.

I read "angels and demons first" and couldn't then stomach DVC. They are the same book.

But Brown is more than a bit formulaic. I've read all his books, just for kicks, except his last. I won't pay for a hardcover, and our local library is being renovated.

Happy Thanksgiving!

When I read the synopsis of his remarks on capitalism.

Since he eschews many of the trappings that distance him from "the people" it would be very easy for him to meet an unfortunate end in a very public forum setting up fodder for conspiracy theories for years to come.

I really don't understand all this fauning over Pope Francis, he's not any different than the previous 3 Popes, except in style.

Hi,

The Pope that was in office less than 2 months. He supposedly was going to take the church to the left & clean up the dirty laundry.
There was a banking scandal at the time & he was going to clean out or get rid of the pedophiles in the church. So the story goes !

He died in the night & the autopsy was hasty & did not reveal anything. One or both of these above factions got to him & poisoned him or somehow killed him.

There was a book written about it all. I borrowed it from a Catholic friend, an ex-priest that would only tell me that the church was a cesspool. He would not tell me anything else & seemed afraid of saying as much as he did. Now we know about all the pedophiles,
John Paul II & Benedict supposedly protected them if you believe the Conspiracy theories.

Maybe John Paul I died on natural causes, but after his death JPII took the church far to the right.
