I admit I felt sorry for Sarah Palin in the movie Game Change...

There were times she was overwhelmed and I thought, who wouldn't be with that level of information and pressure?

She did great when she prepared and memorized. If she didn't...well, she bombed badly.

John McCain was the biggest follower I had ever seen. He had zero ideas of his own.

In the end, I really hated her. She was spiteful and selfish.

Excellent movie, I thought. Ed Harris and Julianne Moore were fantastic. Woodie Harrelson was amazing, too.

She's mentally lazy and got caught. She's been used to getting by on her looks and personality, so even as a politician didn't feel that she had to study policy and all those things politicians should know. If she had, she wouldn't have been overwhelmed.

She already knew that she had a pregnant teen; knew that she had a disabled baby; knew that her son would be sent into a war theater. She also had to have known that she didn't understand economics or world politics. I blame her for remaining ignorant and doing a very selfish thing for herself. It's her own damn fault.

She was intellectually lazy and in way over her head. She was not and will never be competent enough to be President of the USA. We dodged a bullet on that one. McCain was also not competent to be President if he was afraid to even sit down with her and put her in her place. How could you expect him to be President when it was obvious that he had become afraid of the monster he helped to create.

She has a 20-ish daughter pulling in 200k+ from Dancing with the Stars and various and sundry endorsements, getting $40k+ so SPEAK as a teen pregnancy icon.

Christ almighty, I wouldn't feel "sorry" for this woman if she was on fire in the intersection of 42nd and Lex.

The popularity of stupid ideas literally frightens me. I mean anyone can be wrong from time to time, but when something is so obviously untrue yet it winds up becoming a popular idea surely must be some sort of a blight on our country. I used to say that "it won't be long before the foxes are running the henhouse," but considering the teabag majority in the House I'd say that's already happened to some extent. God help us if they find more idiots to vote for them.

I feel no sympathy for her. She thought she could lie, mislead and manipulate her way into a serious position of power in this country. When her ignorance was exposed she pouted and blamed others rather than do any actual work to improve herself. She all but thrust her fingers in her ears and went through the rest of the campaign going, na-na-na-na I can't hear you.

Selfish, childish and petty people don't deserve sympathy.

It was the scene where they had moved vice-prez debate prep to Arizona, and McCain suggested they have a barbecue to which he would invite his neighbor the doctor to observe her for signs of mental instability. During the party Steve Schmidt walks over and asks the doctor what he thinks. "Well, for a woman who just had a baby, has an unwed pregnant teenage daughter, and a son in Iraq, she's doing pretty good. YOU on the other hand look like shit."

I guess I really am a bleeding heart, because that got to me. For a few seconds. Feel free to flame away.
