It's not going to be a pleasant Thanksgiving with them asking me to either get rid of my cat or leave. I have no where to go.

your post and selfishly answered with what was upsetting me. Everything turned out all right. I explained to the family what happened and they said it was okay, just animals being themselves.

I hope you had a lovely Thanksgiving.
