Watch Screaming Mobs Fight Over Televisions At Wal-Mart

http://www.businessinsider.com/fight-breaks-out-at-walmart-2013-11

A video posted to YouTube Thursday appears to show a screaming mob fighting over flat-screen televisions at a Wal-Mart in North Carolina during the retailer's Black Friday sales.

The video shows at least 50 people crowded around the televisions, when several people start pushing and shoving each other, with one man throwing another to the ground. A woman's voice is heard repeatedly screaming "Oh my God!"

Several police officers stood nearby but didn't intervene. Eventually, a Wal-Mart worker appeared to break up the fight.

The YouTube user who posted the video online told us he recorded it at a Wal-Mart in Elkin, North Carolina. He says he was kicked out of the store for recording the video.

I'm convinced the reason people fight for these 'doorbusters' is so they can resell them on ebay. Or maybe it is just the thrill of the hunt, we don't (mostly) track down and kill things anymore.

Some people make proclamations about how sad it is and go into the root causes of blah blah blah, but it's just fun and HILARIOUS to watch people beat each other up over cheap garbage.

I'm sorry, but it is.

I'm not a sports or reality TV fan, but if they were more like this... I'd gladly tune in every week.

Trust me, the only highlight is having a front row seat to the madness.

I'm hoping. Seriously, only an idiot wouldn't support their own interests, and unless this poster won the lotto (state or silver spoon) then "a former Walmart employee" who supports unions is hopefully smart enough to be a Dem.

I am an optimist though. Lol!

Had they been injured, was that worth your 1:40 of pleasure?

Your response is the first of the day, Congratulations!

People there on their own volition and throwing punches over foreign-made junk are what makes it entertaining.

When I worked there, it gave us employees interesting stories to exchange in the break room and at home. And besides the holiday pay, was probably the only other silver lining in working.

I'm not one of those folks that's going to deny that watching the videos is entertaining to me and judging from the viral nature, I'd say that's true about most of society... no matter how they choose to frame the story to get you to watch.

and if so we are in bigger trouble in this country than I had even thought.

There are very few things worth fighting for. Fighting economic injustices - yes I can justify that. Fighting over a TV? Hardly.

A friend of mine has already been out there 12 hours...she's got another 12 before she gets home. Hopefully she managed to pick up that laptop I asked her to find for me.

My wife just left 30 minutes ago, her best friend picked her up at 7. They go out eat breakfast and kill time shopping until 12 or 1 then eat lunch and come home.

I seriously doubt anyone got kicked out of walturd for taking a video. They don't have time to even care about stuff like that.

/video.

Which leads me to believe that yes, this individual was removed for recording the melee.

Wal Mart corporation specifically states that still/video/audio recording is prohibited on premises by it's patrons...
