Two Arrested After Stabbing Over Parking Space At Walmart

CLAYPOOL HILL, Va. (CBSDC) - Two men were arrested following a Thursday night stabbing over a parking space at Walmart.

The two parties involved – 35-year-old Christopher Jackson and 61-year-old Ronnie Sharp – got into the fight around 6:30 p.m. yesterday after arriving at the store for holiday shopping, WVVA is reporting.

What began as a verbal argument turned physical when one of the men threatened the other with a rifle, which was later confiscated by police.

The station learned that Sharp then cut Jackson on his arm. The wound was reportedly deep enough to reach his bone, officials with the Tazewell County Sheriff’s Office said.

If the parking lot is full, so is the store, so I won't go there. If it's not full, I park way away from the store where I can pull through and drive straight out. I hate backing out of parking spaces, and learned my lesson after two different cars backed into my car in parking lots as I was driving by.

These days, I'm not that into crowded parking lots and won't park so I have to back out any longer. That SUV or minivan in the space next to me makes it impossible to see the traffic when I back up. That's why I got backed into twice. Not a good thing at all. The second time, the guy who backed into me got really pissed off, even though the accident was 100% his fault. He just didn't look. I was going 5 mph and he started backing out while I was directly behind him. But he got all blustery, and the police had to be called. His fault; my problem. No thanks.

Especially in the Target or grocery lots. If the lot is full, the store is too full for my patience. On Black-Thursday/Friday I don't even go out shopping AT ALL.

I try to find spaces to pull through too. I don''t mind the walk if it's longer. That's actually a good safety tip. It's fairly common knowledge that more accidents happen during backing up than driving forward. This seems somewhat obvious now the latest safety trends in cars being back-up sensors and cameras.

is that you usually end up going the wrong way in the lane that you pull into, jacking things up for other drivers.
