Shopper Claims He Was Kicked Out Of Walmart For Filming Black Friday Fight

ELKINS, N.C. (CBS Charlotte) – A shopper at Walmart documented a fight between other customers. He said that, after store officials caught him doing so, he was asked to leave – even though those fighting were allowed to stay and shop.

Using the Twitter handle “soidecidedto,” the man – who, according to the website listed in his profile on the social networking and micro-blogging website, is named Brian Spain - shared the video he had taken after leaving the premises.

“I went to the Walmart in my parent’s town on Thanksgiving around 8pm. I was driving back to the hotel and I saw it PACKED!” Spain wrote in the video’s description. “Therefore I went in, and expected to interview people about why they are there.”

It continued, “Instead I saw this, videoed [sic] it, and was promptly kicked out of the store.”

My mom used to "comp shop" for KMart in the early 90s. She used to go into Walmart with a microcassette recorder taped to her chest under her shirt and would narrate the prices. Other stores she could walk in with the recorder in hand and do this freely in the open. If you record audio or video of ANYTHING in a Walmart, you will be escorted out. The only exception is news crews, which require the approval of management.

As for the fighters, well, they should've been arrested by police and barred from the store.

With that said: fuck Walmart! I haven't shopped there in 8 years. Wish I could say I hadn't set foot into one, but when my late father first got sick (3 years ago, he passed away last year), I used to have to drive him up there to get his medications (he would ONLY use their pharmacy, couldn't convince him otherwise).
