Tue Dec 3, 2013, 07:17 AM
Dec 2013

The Gabor sisters are three famous Hungarian-American actresses/socialites, Magda (11 June 1915 – 6 June 1997), Zsa Zsa (born 6 February 1917), and Eva (11 February 1919 – 4 July 1995).

They were born in Budapest, Hungary to Vilmos and Jolie Gabor. The family moved to New York in the wake of World War II. Magda had played a small role in a Hungarian film before the war, so Jolie and her three daughters decided to move to Hollywood to break into the movie business.

Their claim to fame, perhaps beyond their acting careers, is that of serial matrimony: They are known for their numerous marriages. Magda was married six, Zsa Zsa eight (or nine; one marriage was illegal and annulled), and Eva five times. British actor George Sanders was married first to Zsa Zsa and later to Magda.

Zsa Zsa is still alive and kicking at 96 God Bless longevity

Pardon me, but for the last several years, I have been running a business, putting a couple of kids through college, and doing things with my spare time that do not involve watching celebrity news. I too have no idea what these Kardashian people are about, or what their contribution to society has been.

I can assure you there have been more important things going on about which you are likely utterly clueless, but if you have nothing but an insult to offer in response to a sincere question, then I would venture that the value of these Kardashian people to society may well exceed yours.

and why the are they in the news all the damn time? I wouldn't say I was living under a rock. In fact I'm reading "News" on a daily basis on line, and not a day goes by where somewhere off to the side a Kardashian piece/clip is there waiting for my cursor to click on it by accident. Every click = $$$ so I try and avoid that as much as possible. But after years of this crap, it would be great if someone in the know, can explain why they warrant this level of notice, sans personal attacks on the character of the person asking the question.

So get yourself a bandaid or maybe a therapist and get the fuck over yourself and your over inflated ego.

As to why someone would ask the question here rather than use google or Wikipedia? Because people like to hear from other human beings, friends, family etc. about topics they find interesting.

Do you google every question you have or do you ever discuss things among friends and family?

what a sad world it would be if no one communicated with each other anymore and just used google where all they get is a cold, clinical response to whatever questions they have.

He's a serial killer on death row who claims he killed Nicole and Ron. There was a documentary about this guy and he had claimed to kill them, with his brother believing it was entirely possible based on some evidence the prosecution paid little attention to because they were intent on prosecuting OJ. I just saw the documentary today so this topic made me think of it.

If true though, it doesn't fully exonerate OJ - Glen claimed OJ instructed him to go to Nicole's house to steal some diamond earrings worth $20,000 and kill her if necessary. Ron just happened to be there the night he chose to do it.

Could be possible I guess, but probably complete bs. For a psycho like that, why not try to gain some notoriety while on death row?

The OJ Trial, while based on an actual horrible event that took place in reality, was blown so far into the realm of ridiculous bullshit mediagasm that it's probably not surprising that here, almost 2 decades later, we're still experiencing subsequent ripples and aftershocks like the "fame" of the Kardashians.

That said, some of the best writing and entertainment I've seen has been on the tv in the past few years; breaking bad, mad men, game of thrones.

There was even some good stuff on the networks, like the first season of "My Name is Earl." However, most of it has been pushed aside by cheap "reality" shows generating ersatz celebrities.

You have to flip over to the Spanish stations to find TV like it used to be in the US, with variety shows, game shows, telenovelas, plays and movies.

So yes, there is some good stuff out there. There is just a whole lot of really, really bad stuff and an astonishing quantity of it is generated by the Kardashian family.
