Healthcare.gov Sign In Problem Solution

I created an online account on Oct. 1 and have never been able to sign in to healthcare.gov. I phoned the marketplace on Nov. 6 and filled out an application on line with a representative. I was still not able to sign in today after the site issues have been fixed. I just called and spoke to a marketplace representative at healthcare.gov. She was also not able to log me in so she suggested I create a new account using a different username and password. I changed my username and clicked on "Forgot your Password". I then received an email to start the process all over again. The representative was then able to connect my application which I filled out over the phone with my new account. I'm now about to walk myself through the plans that are available. Good luck.

I'm curious, because I have had almost the exact same scenario with my efforts.

Are you saying you started from scratch - totally creating a new account as if it where the first time you had been to healthcare.gov?

You might try calling and talking to a representative. They walked me through the whole process. They can also see if your current account will work or not.

Sorry to take so long getting back to you. Have been out since my last post. I was able to use my same email address. The marketplace representative wasn't sure if my same email address would work but it did. Hope you had some luck.

I tried to log on a few minutes ago and it took a couple minutes to log in because there were so many people on the site. Amazed I have 24 plans to choose from. As a sole proprietor with a group of only one person I only had two health care plans available to me for the last few years through my local Chamber of Commerce group administrator. Good luck.

then tried calling, and was offered to apply by phone. I declined, because it seems to me there is no way to properly shop 30+ different policies by phone.

She said it's probably a website issue, and reminded me to clear cookies. So I guess I'll wait a few days and try again.

ugh... this is fookin frustrating.

last night. Site was working well. It will take some time to actually do proper comparison shopping, however.
