Worst operating system I have EVER used. Arrogant, purposefully and insidiously user-hostile, bordering on evil. There's no way to tell Microsoft this; they're not listening. To vent requires me to spend an hour working my way up their help tree. So fuck them. Fuck them all. Fuck Windows 8. I've been using Windows since the first version, although I skipped Vista. After all this time, I can't believe someone would release such a COMPLETE PIECE OF CRAP. All right, I'll look at Linux. Finally. What a waste of time.

For the life of me, I can't understand the why of creating such a lousy OS. 'User-hostile' is exactly right.

I have learned to only buy a new computer on odd numbered Microsoft OS's. XP was better than VISTA...Windows 7 was better than Vista...and now Windows 8 as I predicted...sucks. Windows 9 or what ever they will call it...will be much improved. As soon as that drops...I buy my next laptop!

I have had many PCs and after my last one died, I bought a Mac Mini in 2009 because my company bought Mac Minis for everyone, and I am a happy Mac user. I have been having a few problems, but none that a restart doesn't solve.
