If you see Cantore, you're screwed.

I've seen him a couple of unfortunate times.

why they have to be out in the cold,wind,rain,hurricanes,tornados,etc.- I'll take their word for it that the weather is rotten. Just waiting for a sheet of metal, a tree limb or some other wind-borne object to take off a head. God forbid. To me that on-the-spot reporting is stupid.

Newark, DE just got 12" yesterday, is looking at another 1-4" tomorrow (or 2-6" depending on who you listen to), with another snow maker on the way this weekend.

When I went to church yesterday morning, it was barely flurrying (9:30). By the time we got out of church (12:30) and on the road, we were already at 6". That snow cost the non-profit choral group we sing with an afternoon concert that would have netted us $400. When your whole yearly operating budget is $8K, that makes a huge difference.

Here's hoping the snow this weekend holds off until Sunday. We have another concert scheduled for Saturday, which would be another $400 hit if we can't perform. Not to mention, it'd ruin the day for a lot of people (Spirit of Christmas celebration). Lots of people in the town participate. Our church joins in the festivities and runs a silent auction, free cookies/coffee/hot chocolate, have a craft bazaar, book sale, and soup/bread sale. That's where we usually end up making a good chunk of our medical benevolence budget for the year.

Snow, for now, stay away! Come again on Christmas day!

Seeing him do a live report scared me more than watching our local weather reports. I knew we were fucked as soon as I turned on the Weather Channel and saw him down here Thursday.

I went to work 3 days ago (hospital) and tonight is my first night back home in my own bed. Too dangerous to drive to/from so I took the hospital's offer of letting staff spend the night.
