5. Happens every year pretty much

Two volcanos on the island of Hawaii are 13000 feet. They get snow pretty much every year. The extinct volcano on Maui, at about 10000 feet gets snow less often. It really isn't a rare site, just people think of tropical weather when they think of Hawaii.
