The Ready for Hillary! crowd seems to have become the Duck and Cover! crowd over the past few weeks. They must be flabbergasted by the groundswell of coherent thought that's been sweeping our Party of late.
"What to do!"
I can't wait to see very-Liberal-but-steely-realist Hillary get trotted out as soon as things quiet down a bit.
But, no matter. The Third Way can keep their ill-gotten cash, but they'll be getting less of it in the future; I suspect that they're well on their way to a permanent exile from the White House and Congress.
Change!
Thank you, Occupy, for getting the ball rolling. We're accreting good people and good will, and will soon be crushing all in our path. I hope...

(34,589 posts)Last time we had a pack of three in front pretty early - two of them were clearly not helpful for the 99%, one was an unknown quantity who preached a good game.
And here we are.

(96,794 posts)Beautiful Dreamer,
Warren is not running for President. She is going to blast the hell out of Wall Street. That is why we sent her to the Senate. She will do amazing things there. I for one have not been a Hillary supporter. I backed this President from day one. Still do Manny and will continue to do so.
When 2016 comes around, I will make my decisions. However, I will indeed vote for the Democrat of choice.

(22,000 posts)I began supporting Obama in April of 2007 which was quite early. This time I am ready to sit out longer before deciding on a candidate if I don't see what I like. I hope we have some good choices in the primary.

(62,325 posts)right to run for the office of POTUS.
And the idea that only a couple of US Citizens have the RIGHT to that position, is being strongly rejected, finally, and thankfully.
We the people have not been allowed to choose who we want in that position for a long time now. We the people have finally decided that we will no longer have any one person foisted on us without our consent.
I am hoping for a complete unknown person who has NO CORPORATE FUNDING, because we all know by now what that means, will emerge and we will finally have a CHOICE, rather than being pushed into just one or two 'choices' chosen by Corporate America.
They've finally come to the point where their corporate funding has become poison for any candidate.
I eg, will looking at who is fuding the candidates and will cross off the list, ANY CANDIDATE who has amassed a huge 'war chest' mostly funded by Corporations.
Thank YOU Occupy Wall St. for awakening the voting public to just what we should be looking out for.
Run Bernie! Run!

(96,794 posts)Why the rush to get her out of one of the most influential positions available? She can do more as a in her position as Senator. You believe that she can move the world as a sitting President???? Really.
As I have said she can do a hell of a lot more damage to big business and Wall Street in her position as Senator. You seemvto disagree with that point. Why is that?

(9,298 posts)Bankster crooks (still at it), Citizens United, wealth inequality, bought politicians, lazy (often lying) media, union busting, manufactured crises (S.S. going broke) charter schools, foreclosures, unemployment (un)fair wages... it should be a shoo-in for the Democrats in 2016.
We desperately need a champion - I've said this before. I am not enthusiastic about Hillary and was hoping Elizabeth Warren might be that champion of the middle class. But if it's not to be her, we must retain the Senate and flush the House of as many Teahadists as possible next year. That would certainly pave the way for a Democratic victory in 2016.

(150,945 posts)Most folks are not really that into the 2016 election yet. A lot of us aren't really worried about that. We're looking at 2014. Hillary's a likely candidate for 2016, but there's ample time to let that election develop. In the meantime, 2014 is really just around the corner, and potential candidates are getting vetted like crazy for that one. Who has time to think about 2016 right now?
Will Hillary run? I don't know. She hasn't said. I don't pay a lot of attention to the Presidential race in the first place, since I really won't play any role in choosing the candidate who is on the ballot. I'll let you worry about that race, but I suspect that you don't have much to do with who will be on the ballot in 2016, either.
Good luck to you in your quest. Whoever it is that you'll support will be interesting, I'm sure. In 2015, I'll start paying attention to that a little, but mostly I'll be working on legislative politics, as always. There, I can actually be of influence.
Have fun! I'll be voting for whomever emerges from the Democratic Convention in 2016.

Granted, they're usually much more satisfying to reading while sitting on the toilet-- more balanced that way-- but still, a nicely satisfying and provocatively prophetic tarot-reading all the way around!!!!
