State Attorney continues to review fatal FBI shooting of Chechen man

State Attorney Jeff Ashton said his independent review of the controversial fatal FBI shooting of a Chechen man in Orlando will continue into 2014.

Ashton's office has been investigating the May shooting of Ibragim Todashev, who was being questioned by a Boston-based FBI agent and other officers about one of the Boston Marathon bombing suspects.

Todashev told authorities that his friend, slain bombing suspect Tamerlan Tsarnaev, was involved in a triple-homicide in Massachusetts, according to documents filed by federal prosecutors in Boston.

The FBI has said little about its May 22 interview with Todashev at his Orlando condo, but said he initiated a "violent confrontation," and was shot.
