I love our medical system!

Went to the doctor for some $5 antibiotics. Get charged $130 by the Dr. just for the privilege since my deductible is stupid high.

And Republicans say this is the best system devised by humanity?

1. Have you never had insurance before?

That is how a policy works. You get what you pay for. Now if you want a lower deductible, then find a different plan with one. You may end up paying a higher premium but that's how insurance works. Auto and home insurance works that way too. You pay out of pocket for a while and then if something big happens the rest will be covered as long as it is stated in the policy.

A better system would be one in which pharmaceutical corporations were not looking at this nation as their cash cow and there was transparency and consistency in pricing.

Dr did nothing but write a script. I'm just glad I switched over to a traditional plan with copays.

There are no insurance usage fees, which are only designed to make poor people choose between care and necessities. Usage fees serve no other justifiable purpose

No matter how badly you want something different, it will stay like this until the laws change again.

That's reality.

7. You should have found out how much the visit was before you went.

Couldve went to the minute clinic at Walgreens; they have CNPs there who would see you and write you a script for antibiotics for half of what you paid.

They're pretty inexpensive compared to a regular doctors visit .

13. Why I hate hate hate the US system that doesn't allow you to just pop by the pharmacist

when you know exactly what you need...

If I knew I only needed a non-restricted medication, I would just go to the pharmacist.

Not anymore... back here in the US with our crappy crappy system.
