Finally Discovered The Name Of Ralphie's Dad in "A Christmas Story"

Frank Parker.

Today, Santa brought the family a new book about "ACS" (A Christmas Story: Behind the Scenes of a Holiday Classic by Caseen Gaines) Included with the book were a few collectibles - Ralphie's "theme" paper, a card welcoming him to the Little Orphan Annie Club. Also included was a facsimile of the Western Union telegram that The Old Man receives announcing that he has won a major award. It's addressed to Frank Parker.

I never knew his first name as it's never uttered in the movie (don't know if the name was ever revealed in any of Jean Shepherd's short stories).

Now, anyone know the first name of Mrs Parker?

I don't know her first name but I know people who knew her and they said that she was an interesting person who once worked at the circus but was an excellent listener, but suffered from depression and was known for making signposts with stark and foreboding messages.

The called her "Ma Darker-Starker-Marker-Harker-Barker-Parker"
