Fellow Feminists: Yes, there is a war on women. Anyone who denies it is blind or not a feminist.

Many feminists might disagree with me, but I am a proud feminist.

And I can see the attempt by the right, right now, to control the conversation. They missed out on this during the second wave, mostly because of their utter ineptitude to take privacy and feminism seriously. But with Santorum the frothy Lube Guy and the recent sonogram rape bills that have passed, it is beyond clear that the GOP, and United Christianity in general, have launched a serious war on women.

What is the Democratic response? Spilled seed and Viagra bills. Granted, this is a good direction, but it needs follow-ups in the attacking of the sonogram rape bills. These need to be heard at a Federal Court, because they are patently anti-woman. Anti-female. Anti-human, if you ask me.

The return of the angry white male to the forefront of the repuke party will spell their destruction.
Their hatred for and desire to control all those that dont look like them is not even tried to be hidden any more.

yes, many are a bit fearful going to supreme court and being ruled on by a rw court. the feminists have been watching this for a while and they understand that rights are being tromped on and laws are being broken. they are also concerned with pushing it because if it gets to the supreme court it will be voted on and establish as law, going against women because of make up of the court.

But in the 90s it was asked of me: Do you support equal pay for equal work? Do you support the notion that men and women are equal? If the answer to both of those is "yes" then you are a feminist. So I am, so mote it be.

Look, feminism is a big tent. You will find some Republicans under that tent. You might also find Millicent Fenwick, Andrea Dworkin and Camille Paglia under that tent. You might also find Hugh Hefner and Larry Flynt under that tent. You also might find Annie Sprinkle.

It is not about the person, but the cause. And the cause is just.

And in this case, yes there is a war. We can leave the Spanish Inquisition for later.

which is much more important.

a couple years ago, we saw these attacks and i was wondering why women orgs were doing nothing. with the supreme court made up as they are, it is very dangerous to go after these infractions.

It may not be the best time to put these to a Supreme Court decision.

I am hoping that when some justices retire, it will be better. But it might not.

This is, after all, the "Roberts" Court. No doubt the puppet masters would use CJ Roberts to advance THEIR agenda.

So I may be wrong there - it is a gamble. And gambles don't always turn out as we planned.

In the immortal words of Mike Judge: "This sucks, Beavis!"

I know some Obama haters treat Sotomayor and Kagan like they are right wing chopped liver, but the truth is, they are the best thing to come out of the 2008 election. We need to plug the holes Bush chopped into the floor of the boat.

just like the war on Christmas. I dont see any difference between now and last 4 years when compared to the right of women to control their reproductive organ. The difference now is that republicans are complaining about mandates even though this new mandate would end up enriching their big Pharma buddies. Just wait till someone explains it to them fully what this means for big pharma and they will be out mandating for even more items to be covered by AHCA.

If you believe that, you're not going to get very far. These anti-women bills have gone far beyond conversation; they are taking action. The only rational response is action which will bring these issues to the forefront. Yes, this is in itself a form of conversation, but it is not the so-called feminazis who have changed the dialog. Rather it is an insidious element of society who view women as a threat.

As a man, I am proud to stand next to any and all people who see this for what it is.

Shame on all who support the Republicans,

Sorry for the rant. But I'm mightily pissed off.

This is about ACTUAL LAWS BEING PASSED that take away basic civil and human rights from women as a class.

Everyone is being attacked: workers, voters, the 99%, pro-choice people, teachers, unions, free speech, protesters, whistle blowers, minorities. The U.S. is for sale and the government has already been sold to corrupt banks and 1%er special interests.

We are all being attacked, every single citizen.
