Outside of that the game is awesome.

One of which is to get a Mac version of the game, which would be easiest - but that does not get to the root of the problem.

It should work just fine in Wine. Up to a point it does - which means that something is getting corrupted over time (since it plays well for a spell). I like to figure out the reasons things don't work. Right now I am going with a need to upgrade the wine wrapper (have the latest one for now).

I have already fixed mouse issues and full screen issues with it. I don't have this problem with any other game (and I run a windows version of a WOW server and wow itself just fine) and since even the windows version (in Alpha 5) has known multiplayer problems I plan on sticking with the 4.1 (which did have other issues like 5 does now but was fixed with a dll upgrade).

One would hope the developers work on such bugs . Being a developer myself I enjoy the hunt for core solutions and not band aids.

But sound advice in general for those with similar issues.

Dead Utah eagles killed by West Nile virus

State wildlife officials announced Tuesday morning that the National Wildlife Health Center in Madison, Wis. confirmed West Nile virus is the cause of the eagle deaths and that six more are currently being treated in wildlife rehabilitation centers.

West Nile virus was suspected when sick and dead eagles started to show up in early December, but wildlife officials were reluctant to identify the mosquito-born virus as the culprit because it has never been reported in December.

Maybe the shitty air is only hazardous to mammals.

Utah DWR learns what has been killing bald eagles
Written by Scott Heinecke on December 31, 2013 in News, State

SALT LAKE CITY – Laboratory results have confirmed what officials with the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources have been suspecting that West Nile virus killed the bald eagles that have died in Utah over the past few weeks.

Testing at the Utah Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory in Logan, Utah, and the National Wildlife Health Center in Madison, Wis., has definitively ruled out many other possible causes of death, including toxic chemicals or poisons, lead poisoning, bacterial infections and several other viruses, including avian influenza and avian vacuolar myelinopathy.

Some will argue that he didn't get a fair chance.

I personally believe that God would watch a football game and not intervene but merely enjoy the game and let the better team win.

In passing I could also mention that the Bible doesn't recommend overt displays of faith.

Matthew 6:5-6
New International Version (NIV)
Prayer

5 “And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full. 6 But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.
