Get ready for the Deep Freeze, Michigan! The temperature has plummeted 16F in just

the last hour. Over 600 schools & universities in my area--including mine--are closed tomorrow & blizzard conditions are expected. I hope everyone stays warm during the brutally cold wind & snow the next couple of days. Also, bring any pets INDOORS!

Stay safe, my brothers & sisters.

Diane

1. Stay warm, stay dry

I'm hunkered down under two blankets here in the "Mitten". No work for me, no school for my Daughter.

2. Brutal winds up in Traverse City.

blowing & drifting snow. I wonder if any of our local churches are letting the homeless in.

3. I just checked & the temperature just dropped another 5F. I grew up in

Charlevoix, so I know very well how brutal the wind & weather coming off the lake can be. I certainly hope that the homeless can find shelter. I am worried about them--this could be a tragedy in the making.

4. They just extended the Winter Storm Warning for Kent Co. another 12 hours.

It's in effect until 8:00am Tuesday morning. Yikes. This storm is turning into The Thing That Wouldn't Leave.
