So, now that Kim Jong Il is dead, whither North Korea?

Will one of the boys be any better? Worse? No change?

Those of you with info about the workings of NK, please enlighten the rest of us.

to have ANY knowledge of the inner workings of NK is full of shit. It is easily one of the most closed, insular societies on the planet. The CIA knows little about it, and I seriously doubt that some random DUer will be able to edify you to any extent.

I like to read the Good Friends blog to keep up on what news trickles out: http://www.goodfriendsusa.blogspot.com/

As to trying to make sense of the observations, good luck!

However, I wouldn't be expecting it to change much, at least not in the short-term. OTOH Kim Jong Ill's son is much younger than he was when he took over NK, so it's possible that he may be more malleable to outside interests. Of course, he could also end up being more malleable to the interests of the military, so........? Isn't this the guy that got busted with a fake passport trying to get into Disneyworld Tokyo?
