Then, when asked how he might respond to a subpoena, Christie quickly dismissed the question by saying, Im not going to speculate on that at this time. A strange way to answer given how many times he previously claimed he would do everything to cooperate.
Why wouldn't he just say he will be happy to testify in the investigation to determine what happened?

(10,437 posts)no email will ever be found that links Gov Christie directly to the bridge closure or subsequent "coverup". Plausible deny-ability is a well practiced profession and we all saw Christie dancing that dance. BUT if a subordinate flips on what Christie was TOLD, thats another matter altogether. This is just like trying to prosecute the mob. You gotta get some one to flip.
Multiple investigations will dig, until someone flips, christie can get away with it. At least in the legal sense.
