OP
A job? I thought it was mainly so foreign students could go to college in the US?

You are thinking of TOEFL. TESOL is a teacher of English to people who speak other languages. nt

Sounds like a good way to travel for work, though.

If you want to pursue teaching English as a career overseas, you still need credentials... a minimum MA in TEFL, or even a Ph.D.
Even better would be a traditional English degree (MA, or Ph.D.) , some TEFL experience (and maybe certification), and teaching experience.
