Stupid paulites may ignore it all they want but the facts don't change. Here, TYT's do the topic nicely:
This guy is one serious loon.

(5,235 posts)When asked about Republicans who openly doubt that he could be elected president, Ron Paul said, Fortunately for the Republican party this year, probably anybody up here could beat Obama.
Huh?

(6,045 posts)Just now learning who Ron Paul is! Plus, folks like Cenk would say they would vote for a right wing science denying, woman hating, racist christian NUT before Obama because Obama has not done everything they wanted when they wanted & that is there way of telling everyone how made they are, i Guess.

(55,500 posts)It isn't just Cenk exposing the racist, homophobic vile views of Ron Paul, there are many.
Did you read my comment? Cenk & others who support Ron Paul or have been talking about him like he is being picked on by the media are the same people who know very little about who Ron Paul is, his past & his insane & utterly ridiculous policy ideas! They get drunk off of Ron Paul's foreign policy kool-aid & his deceptive talk of "Individual Freedoms" & their critical thinking STOPS!
Cenk has just recently began talking about the bad side of Ron Paul because the media has just recently began to dig deeper into who he is. Up until now Cenk has said he would vote for Ron Paul over Obama which to me proved either Cenk is a closeted Republican who could care less about Ron Paul's anti-woman, anti-minorities, anti-disabled people, RACISM, etc. or extremely ill-informed of who Ron Paul is. Obviously it was the latter because he has finally started to talk about the dark side of who Ron Paul is but only because the media has began talking about it.
It just shows how Cenk, Jon Stewart & so many others who have been complaining that Ron Paul was not getting a fair shake in the media knew very little about on Paul...That seems to be changing & that is good news.

(55,334 posts)Again, I'm doubtful he was serious. Probably just seriously pissed off at Obama for the NDAA crap. But he said that fully aware of Paul's racist statements in the past. Cenk Uyger doesn't do anything knee jerk.
Ohio Joe
(21,898 posts)He does give Paul some props for some things but it looks like he would only vote for him if he could only choose a repug.
Bucky
(55,334 posts)He's making a lot of the same arguments, but if you go the DU front page, you'll see a link to the show (it's 30 minutes long) where he says he might vote Paul over Obama.
For the 3rd time, I'll say this: I doubt he's being 100% serious.
That surprises me. If you have one, can you post a link? If not, no worries, I'll find it, Cenk's stuff is usualy easy to locate.

Here is a link to an article with more info on his vile racist, homophobic views:
News Bulletin: Ron Paul Is a Huge Racist
snip
This Special Issue on Racial Terrorism was hardly the first time one of Pauls publications had raised these topics. As early as December 1989, a section of his Investment Letter, titled What To Expect for the 1990s, predicted that Racial Violence Will Fill Our Cities because mostly black welfare recipients will feel justified in stealing from mostly white haves. Two months later, a newsletter warned of The Coming Race War, and, in November 1990, an item advised readers, If you live in a major city, and can leave, do so. If not, but you can have a rural retreat, for investment and refuge, buy it. In June 1991, an entry on racial disturbances in Washington, DCs Adams Morgan neighborhood was titled, Animals Take Over the D.C. Zoo. This is only the first skirmish in the race war of the 1990s, the newsletter predicted. In an October 1992 item about urban crime, the newsletters author--presumably Paul--wrote, Ive urged everyone in my family to know how to use a gun in self defense. For the animals are coming. That same year, a newsletter described the aftermath of a basketball game in which blacks poured into the streets of Chicago in celebration. How to celebrate? How else? They broke the windows of stores to loot. The newsletter inveighed against liberals who want to keep white America from taking action against black crime and welfare, adding, Jury verdicts, basketball games, and even music are enough to set off black rage, it seems.

I was going to post a couple of more snippets but they were making me actually nauseous.

(6,045 posts)Is the news that Ron Paul is a racist is very OLD NEWS!
Ron Paul has always wanted to repeal the 14th so that his State & the rest of the South would not be bound to the Bill of Rights & could set up Christian Theocracies that can discriminate how they want against any groups they want...All non-white non-Christians!
Not to mention Ron Paul is brain dead Conspiracy NUT like Alex Jones, Jesse Ventura, 911 Truthers, Flat Earthers, etc.,

(55,500 posts)the more we get the facts out about his racism, homophobia the better, imo. It's the old 'repeat, repeat, repeat' philosophy which, in this instance, certainly can't hurt.

(53,661 posts)Seriously, the Paulies dismissed what he cited in 2007 and 2008. But like Rush's dialogue, those deleted comments, planted seeds.
I know a number of Paulies and they have blinders on about this and filter out any argument that they sense comes from liberals or Democrats. Most of them fancy themselves as well-educated and amateur philosophers.
A more effective way to make them understand where we are coming from is less name-calling and more information. I urge anyone talking to a Paulie to not fall into identity politics. That is a tool of the 1% and only gets their hackles up.
I'm linking an article here that gives tools to expose what Ron Paul represents in a more effective way than calling him a racist. Ask them to refute this:
'How Freedom Became Tyranny'
Rightwing libertarians have turned freedom into an excuse for greed and exploitation.

(21,898 posts)There is no "might be" about it. Read the link in Post #7. The diaries there are well sourced and reveal the POS that is Ron Paul. Please though, refute with some facts rather then a "look over there".
