Here's the thing with people who lie about the little things: Why the hell should we trust somebody who lies about such little things and gets all wishy-washy? Are they really little things, or are they something more? What big things will they also lie about?

Clarity and accuracy are vital. Someone with a Harvard law degree should know that. An elected official should know that even more.
