http://www.philly.com/philly/news/20140126_The_Pulse__A_second_look_at_Christie_turndown.htmlAbout (probably/possibly) why Smerconish lost his ability to interview Christie which he had done several times previously. Not uninteresting and demonstrates, once again, the pettiness of the Governor.

(39,369 posts)Soon he will be grovelling before the very people he made twist in the wind over bullshit like one harmless column in a sea of adulatory coverage. He is ill-positioned for his fall. Lovely.

(128,855 posts)Wonder if the next time he subs for Tweety on MSNBC, he'll bring this up.
I think the RW-controlled M$M has so fixated on propping up the bullshit-spouting GOP loons that the old-fashioned corrupt GOP politician was forgotten.

(22,138 posts)Perhaps someone will produce it soon. I'm sure Smerconish is correct on this.

(45,319 posts)ashamed of that which he and his Party support. I don't care for him. Tweety has him on as replacement now and that has highlighted Chris' own right wing tendencies, I skip Hardball now, meaning I don't watch MSNBC at all, 'cause of Mike and Chris and their daft positions.

(25,533 posts)measuring the wind. He is Philly-crafty - that is: more or less inadequate but good-enough. As a lifelong Philadelphian, I have the right to say that.

(17,600 posts)At least, he didn't used to be.
Conservatives threw him under the bus and left him in 2008 when on his radio program he gave big props to Obama for saying he would go into Pakistan to get bin Laden, even if the Pakistanis didn't give permission. McCain would not commit to that.
Meanwhile, on his radio program at the time, he did his share of pumping the local right-wing view of certain controversies, like Mumia and the Geno's owner's "speak English" nonsense.
Smerconish is a media personality, that is all. He is one of the few almost-sane ones most of the time, but never mistake him for a progressive.
