The big backer of this thing is Florida attorney John Morgan, a Christ ally. It's been clear from the beginning that Morgan was doing this at least in part to generate liberal voters who would support Christ.

But that's okay. If that kind of Machiavellian political consideration is what it takes to get this before the voters, so be it.
