http://dailyhowler.blogspot.com/2014/02/a-few-of-downsides-to-scandal-culture.htmlCan anyone fact check that for me?
Somerby, who debunked numerous bogus scandals attributed to Gore and the Clinton, makes the case for a "scandal culture" in the media.

(18,402 posts)Whether they were in the same "class" is unclear. (Schoolmates, though, could be an apt descriptor, even if they didn't know each other.)
I went to the same high school as former Indiana Governor and Bushie Mitch Daniels. He graduated the year before me. I didn't know him. There were more than 3,000 students at my high school for 10th, 11th, and 12th grades. I didn't even know the other 999 students in my own year.
But it's hardly something Bob Somerby has a lock on. The media has not said they knew each other. It's not really part of the scandal.

(2,010 posts)He was Christie's key guy at the Port Authority two years ago:

and they knew each other (not that this is all that important a fact) He was the statistician for the baseball team, Christie was the catcher. They ran in the same local political circles that included Christie, his brother Todd, and Livingston resident Tom Kean. This was not a particularly big town.

(110,261 posts)Christie even mentioned Wildstein in his press conference, remember? Christie said they weren't great friends -- that Christie was a hotshot (okay, "an athlete and Class President"
and he didn't know what Wildstein was.
Of course he didn't know. Narcissists only notice people who might be useful to them personally. Wildstein was the quiet team statistician who showed up at every game.
