In response to new CBO report, Rep. Ryan (and other GOPigs) stated that the Obamacare is bad because it doesn't chain people to their present jobs for health coverage.
This "disincentivises" them from working says Mr. Ryan.
In other words, what he and other GOPPERS are saying is that anything that gives people more freedom of where to work or what they do with their lives is bad.
Instead, he says workers SHOULD be indentured because of the need for an essential, with no freedom to leave to seek other opportunities or design a different life for themselves.
To put more simply, Ryan and the GOP endorse slavery, serfdom, indentured servitude....whatever you want to call it.
And so many people in the working class continue to support these buttheads?
(I personally have disagreements with the nature of Obamacare for different reasons. But anything that alleviates the need for many people to stay in jobs they hate -- or which do not meet their needs otherwise -- just to keep health coverage is a step in the right direction.)

(64,041 posts)I find it shocking that these repukes talk about how their party is the party of "opportunity" and "freedom" and "entrepreneurism" and then turn around and accuse workers of being just slackers who don't want to work.
Well, I don't really feel shocked but a little surprised that they don't see the inherent contradictions in their various pronouncements. They sure can't keep their stories straight...
