Forty Koch Brothers Donors Exposed After Document Left at Hotel by Mistake Is Leaked

The confidential spreadsheet contains a who's who of far-right, mega-rich donors

Sunday, 09 February 2014 09:59

A new document providing rare insight into the political machine of the Koch Brothers has surfaced revealing the names of up to 40 donors, as well as senior Koch officials, Washington Post reported.

The list, published by Mother Jones, was mistakenly left behind at a donor conference and includes various corporate executives, real-estate and hedge fund billionaires and GOP financiers.

The list also includes Papa John pizza chain founder and hard-core Republican John Schnatter, Kenneth Griffin, the chief executive of Citadel, Silicon Valley real estate investor Carl Berg (worth $1.1 billion) and owner of Omni Hotels and Gold’s Gym.

What’s more, it appears Charles Koch was scheduled to hold private meetings with at least nine of the contributors including private equity investor John Childs and TRT Holding co-founder Robert Rowling who is worth around $4.9 billion.

Those in attendance also contributed to American Crossroads, the super PAC co-founded by Karl Rove, with Rowling directing $3.5 million to the cause.

and you invest $1 million in buying a government. That is 0.1% of your wealth.

If that investment returns even enough to break even then you have come out ahead cuz you own yourself some government.

I guess corporation people really are more equal than regular human people.

...are the menaces behind the silent corporate coup that took ownership of the USA.

They own this country, and the corporations in ALEC have big plans for you.

There's a reason why Google joined ALEC and why Facebook is a member. Notice that insurance corporations are members, too?

ALEC will soon know more about you than you know about yourself. What's next, you might ask? Just remember: Information is power, especially during (s)elections.

The only way to stop them is to take away the money they hide behind...and neutralize the boys they purchased on the SCOTUS.

Yeah, I feel very strongly about these sociopaths.

Christie's shenanigans were bullying, egregious, out of line, et al. He'll get off likely unless they can prove what is illegal...using Sandy/federal funds for state favors. That's orange jumpsuit territory. He'd obviously used New Jersey funds for all kinds of improper and irregular purposes...but the state kept electing him anyway because he was bigger than any opponent. (bigger politically, I mean.)

The Kochs do not have to answer to voters and their riches allow them to certainly play on a larger scale, but until they get caught in fraud or bribery, or until the laws are changed, business as usual...literally.

We are the only ones paying attention and are outraged. Most voters are busy with families, meals, bills and such and have no time to pay attention to anything else. That is actually sad.
So what do we do? That is the question we need o address.

Be armed with the facts, and when somebody regurgitates propaganda or corporate-media garbage, set them straight.

Sooner or later your facts produce fruit. You will ultimately change minds.

Most legislation today is written by corporate lobbyists and passed to legislators. That's why the masses seldom get anything that benefits them, but corporations RULE. And that's why corporations can engage in all kinds of once-illegal activities...and get away with it. Their lobbyists changed the laws.

Reduced food stamps for poor people...but the Koch billionaires get subsidies??? Who in their right mind buys into this? Only fellow sociopaths.
