CHRISTIE BRIDGE SCANDAL: Panel Looking Into Whether Governor FLEW In Helicopter OVER FORT LEE

"...Sources in Christie's office told the Post the governor took a ferry to Ground Zero from Jersey City on the anniversary of Sept. 11 and flew back to Trenton, but Wildstein was not on board..."

TRENTON — The state legislative committee investigating the George Washington Bridge scandal is looking into whether Gov. Chris Christie flew in a state helicopter over Fort Lee at the time of last year's controversial lane closures, according to a source with knowledge of the probe. The source, who is not authorized to speak about the investigation, requested anonymity. The panel may issue a new set of subpoenas after meeting today, and that could include a request for Christie's helicopter logs, the source said. Lawmakers are also investigating whether the Republican governor flew with then-Port Authority official David Wildstein, the former Christie ally who is credited with orchestrating the controversial closings, according to a report by The New York Post.

- This isn't the first time Christie has faced questions over his helicopter use. Two years ago, he came under fire for frequently flying in State Police helicopters, including one instance when he traveled in one from his son's baseball game to a meeting.

.... just last Friday, I was told by an informed source that "if the records are subpoenaed for the governor's trip back from the 9/11 Memorial event, they will demonstrate that the governor flew over the George Washington Bridge on 9/11/13." It appears that those records have been subpoenaed, and at least in the NY Post story, the governor's office is NOT denying he flew over the George Washington Bridge that day. Please note that the George Washington Bridge was in the OPPOSITE direction from the direction to Trenton from Ground Zero.

If this is true, then Christie will have to explain WHY he was flown over the George Washington Bridge on 9/11/13, the third day of the ongoing BridgeGate plot by officials in the Christie office to punish Fort Lee for reasons that are not clear as of yet. (The informed speculation is that Christie's office was punishing Ft. Lee's mayor for failing to endorse his re-election as governor.)

Was it because he wanted to see how the BridgeGate scheme was panning out? Had Wildstein, who was with Christie at the 9/11 event, told the governor about BridgeGate? Was Christie lying when he denied knowing about BridgeGate until after Patrick Foye had put a stop to it? Why else would he fly over the George Washington Bridge that day? I have reviewed Christie's public schedule that day and he had no events scheduled in Northern Jersey. Indeed, Christie's office told the NY Post that "Christie took a ferry to Ground Zero from Jersey City on the 9/11 anniversary and then flew back to Trenton."

The plot thickens again.

Come to think of it, they'd have to start going through his bathroom, too. After all, we now have a discussion about correcting the record from calling David Wildstein a "piece of crap" to "excrement," don't we?

This one doesn't just need investigators, now. It needs plumbers, too!

Christie should pay for chopper ride to ballgame

Call it “Sanctimonious One,” the taxpayer-funded helicopter, which Gov. Chris Christie didn’t hesitate to use at our expense for a joyride (or several).

While everyone else, by the governor’s decree, must tighten belts and do without things — like health care for women and tax rebates for seniors, for example — Christie thought it was okay for taxpayers to cough up a grand or two so he could take the flying limousine to a ballfield.

Much More to the story..

The Jersey City ferry location would be New York Waterway's Paulus Hook Terminal, which has a helipad and is directly across the Hudson River from the WTC.

Fort Lee and the GWB are 10 miles north (and slightly east) of that location.

Trenton is about 50 miles to the southwest, so the GWB is not a minor detour. Going north to Fort Lee and then back south to Trenton would increase the total distance of the trip by 40%. It's simply not on the way, so if the flight records confirm his helicopter went up there, one has to ask "why?"

...which is on the East River, and also a short distance from the WTC site. I'm listening to Rachel Maddow's segment on this at the moment, and it's not clear exactly if the helicopter left from a Manhattan heliport or the one on the Jersey City side.

Either way, it doesn't change the basics: the GWB would be a major detour if his copter overflew it before heading to Trenton.

Chris Christie is the type of person who MUST, absolutely MUST, wallow in the hell he can create for someone who disagrees with him.

He had to fly over that bridge to laugh at all those people he was making so miserable for daring to elect a Democrat! By gawd, he's the KING and he mandated that they all vote for HIM and support HIM.

And, by golly, those who didn't would feel the wrath of King Christie!

But, it's no fun to bring down the wrath of King Christie unless you can watch it happen.
