‘NOT GAY’ Republican Candidate For Illinois Governor Accused Of Sexually Harassing Male Staffers

Another Republican 'Family-Values' Hypocrite!!..........

Dan Rutherford, an Illinois republican who is hoping to be the state’s next governor, is being sued for sexual harassment by a former employee. “That’s not news,” you say? That happens all the time? They’re politicians, after all…right? Well, this time is a little different. For some time Rutherford has denied that his behavior is “sexually inappropriate” with staffers, and of course that pesky little rumor about him being gay that just won’t go away. So when Rutherford’s director of community affairs and marketing, Ed Michalowski, filed charges in federal court, we here at AATTP ran for the lawn chairs and buckets of popcorn. Ed Michalowski is alleging in his lawsuit that during his three years of putting up with Rutherford’s crude, dictatorial passes, he was not the only person to have to put up with Michalowski’s wandering libido. That was a polite way of calling the guy a lecherous horn dog, just in case you missed it.

According to the Chicago Sun Times:

The lawsuit goes on to detail other instances of alleged harassment, including incidents at a Springfield bar, during the 2012 Republican National Convention in Tampa, Fla., and at an office party. In August of 2011, at D.H. Brown’s, a bar in Springfield, Michalowski alleges that Rutherford approached him and said: “If you go home with me you can have anything you want in the office.” In another instance, the lawsuit alleges that Michalowski and Rutherford were attending the Republican National Convention in Tampa in August 2012 when Rutherford asked Michalowski to go up to his hotel room. When Michalowski refused, Rutherford allegedly became angry and said: “You just said no to the treasurer,” according to the lawsuit.

In December 2013, Rutherford allegedly went over to Michalowski at an office party, rubbed his shoulders and said to him, “You need a full body massage.” “That was creepy,” said another person who witnessed what happened, according to the lawsuit. Michalowski resigned last week amid fear of retaliation after Rutherford held a press conference denying the allegations, flanked by two former federal agents. Seriously what politician uses two big meaty guys as stage props while publicly denying rumors that he’s gay? Ohhh, we get it…

Watch Rutherford talk about not being gay in the video below. For more GOP sexcapades, check out this article on the founder of GOProud, an openly gay republican who says that bigotry is killing the party.
