60 years, mandatory minimum!

Mark O'Mara says that on CNN -- due to Florida law the attempted 2nd degree murders will be required to run consecutively and Dunn will have to serve a 60 year mandatory minimum on the convictions -- and up to 75 years!

What about Jordan Davis' life? Why hasn't he been convicted of killing a young teenager?

I suppose YOU are champing at the bit for a painful execution.

My issue is with the fact that his time will only be based on attempted murder of the other kids. He has not been penalized for the actual killing of Jordan Davis.

Not that 60 -75 years isn't a good thing... but this man committed first degree murder. He went back to get his gun out of his car so he could kill Jordan Davis and start shooting at his friends. That the Jury failed to reach a consensus on that is... disturbing to me.

One can be glad Dunn is going to be spending the rest of his life behind bars, and still be very concerned about the outcome of the trial.

If sentence are allowed to concurrent, then it could be 20 years. I hope that this not the the case

I think Florida law require the sentence to be consecutive for these convictions.
