Wolf Blitzer Detailed Rant Nazi Origins Ted Nugent Subhuman Mongrel Obama RemarkWolf & Newt spar over Nugent controversy
On Tuesdays edition of CNNs Wolf, host Wolf Blitzer addressed in great detail the Nazi past of subhuman mongrel used by rocker Ted Nugent to describe President Barack Obama. With Texas gubernatorial candidate Greg Abbott (R-TX) already facing criticism over campaigning with sexual predator Ted Nugent at his side, Wolf Blitzer wondered if the Abbott campaign was aware of Nugents use of racially loaded term subhuman mongrel. Speaking with Wayne Slater of the Dallas Morning News, Blitzer pointed out, Thats what the Nazis called Jews to justify the genocide of the Jewish community.
They called them untermenschen, subhuman mongrels, if you read some of the literature that the Nazis put out there, there is a long history of that specific phrase he used involving the President of the United States. Slater responded that it was a phrase that is deeply offensive, to some voters, and not just Democratic voters, but other voters, before adding might that phrase be a kind of dog whistle, and code to exactly some of the voters that Greg Abbott wants? Blitzer then went on to quote Nazi propagandist Julius Streicher who wrote: The Jew is a mongrel. He has hereditary tendencies from Aryans, Asiatics, Negroes, and from the Mongolians. Evil always preponderates in the case of a mongrel. Blitzer went to wonder if Nugent is aware of the history of the phrase and whether the Texas Republicans know what this means to so many people out there?

(429 posts)Wolf is outraged because Nugent said something coined in Nazi Germany. Nugent also ridiculed Blitzer's journalistic abilities. This is why he's so upset. After all, the Republicans have called the president numerous names that can be considered racist. Thug and gangster, for example. When you think about the depictions of President Obama as a pimp. Hitler, witchdoctor, monkey, etc., etc., they were all propagated in the Mainstream Media. CNN is very much part of the trashing of the President. In the history of television nothing has ever appeared as viscous as those depictions we've seen of President Obama. There was a reason why posters of Bush was censored by the media. Those that control the media knew they would hurt the President. I have no doubt that the obsessive, real to real airing, of those ugly posters displayed by the Teaparty, contributed to folks sitting out the 2010 Midterm;-thus ushering in the Teaparty Congress.
Obviously, Wolf wasn't too outraged, because he selected Newt Gingrich , who is a racist himself. Let's not forget when Newt passed out literature in the late 1980's encouraging fellow Republican candidates to use words like welfare, quotas, and crime. Wolf is angry because Nugent, in his mind, offended Jewish people. I don't think he gives a damn about President Obama

Biden was speaking at the Institute for Advanced Learning and Research in Danville, VA when he made the comments.
The institute is not a "black audience" or even a mostly black audience. Furthermore, Biden was riffing on earlier comments by Paul Ryan that we should "unshackle" the private sector (i.e., remove all those pesky regulations that had nearly caused the economy to melt down four years earlier) and Biden had been previously talking about "unshackling" the middle class. This was another use of the same metaphor.
