he was afraid the kid would jump into his car and hurt him. Hurt him bad - with the skittles. He was afraid for his life. The fact that he had his gun proves how frightened he was. Would he have needed to carry that gun if the kid didn't scare him? No. He wouldn't. So it was not his fault. Anyone should be able to see that.

Not that I'm defending Zimmerman.

But personally I'm not too good at judging peoples' ages. Especially women. Many of them strive from age 13 to 40 trying to look 23.

Men at least have baldness to give some indication.

However, some weapons (most notably guns) don't depend too much on the physical size or strength of the person wielding them.

The fact that Tayvon was only 17 does not automatically render him inert. Remember, the under-25 set accounts for a disproportionally large amount of the total murders in the US.

The fact also remains, however, that Tayvon wasn't the doing the stalking. Assuming Zimmerman initiated the confrontation (which seems likely) then if Teyvon has wrestled the pistol from Zimmerman and turned the gun on him, Teyvon would be protected by the Stand-Your-Ground laws.

According to Wikipedia:
"The Florida law has been used to excuse neighborhood brawls, bar fights, road rage, and even street gang violence."

A license to kill is offered to anyone that wants it.
