(10,622 posts)stroke it, it was premature ejaculation and not murder.
What many fail to see is this was no hate crime, it was a LOVE crime.
The rest was just an accidental prosthetic malfunction.
He loved that boy the only way he knew how....

See? Now it makes sense.

(15,686 posts)he was afraid the kid would jump into his car and hurt him. Hurt him bad - with the skittles. He was afraid for his life. The fact that he had his gun proves how frightened he was. Would he have needed to carry that gun if the kid didn't scare him? No. He wouldn't. So it was not his fault. Anyone should be able to see that.

(4,062 posts)although typically people who fear for their lives tend to put distance between themselves and the object of their fear. For some reason, the poor defenseless guy with the big gun did the opposite.

For some reason I don't think they would have bought his story of self defense. Just sayin....
I hope he gets what is his due a lifetime behind bars....

(1,068 posts)And yes, the OP certainly puts it in the right perspective. I'm waiting to hear the complete investigation, but those do seem to be pretty overwhelming facts presented in the OP.

(49,445 posts)Not that I'm defending Zimmerman.
But personally I'm not too good at judging peoples' ages. Especially women. Many of them strive from age 13 to 40 trying to look 23.
Men at least have baldness to give some indication.

Nor is Zimmerman's picture, yet I see no critiques to it being shown...

(171,717 posts)all that matters is HOW SCARY TRAYVON LOOKED!!! You know, he may have LOOKED LIKE WAS IN HIS 20'S!!!!!

(49,445 posts)However, some weapons (most notably guns) don't depend too much on the physical size or strength of the person wielding them.
The fact that Tayvon was only 17 does not automatically render him inert. Remember, the under-25 set accounts for a disproportionally large amount of the total murders in the US.
The fact also remains, however, that Tayvon wasn't the doing the stalking. Assuming Zimmerman initiated the confrontation (which seems likely) then if Teyvon has wrestled the pistol from Zimmerman and turned the gun on him, Teyvon would be protected by the Stand-Your-Ground laws.

"The Florida law has been used to excuse neighborhood brawls, bar fights, road rage, and even street gang violence."
A license to kill is offered to anyone that wants it.
