Breakfast and fast-food enthusiasts might soon be in for a treat.
After hinting about it in the past, McDonald's is reportedly considering extending its breakfast hours to cater to those in their 20s and 30s who are changing the way they eat.
Customers might be able to get their coveted McGriddles and Egg McMuffins later than the current breakfast hours, which end at 10:30 a.m.
Despite calls from the public, the restaurant has been reluctant to do so in the past, citing concerns over the chain's small kitchens that would make it difficult to prepare more food, according to Business Insider.
But the company says its young target audience is more in the "brunch mindset" than its older customers, and according to NBC, the 10:30 a.m. cutoff is just not working, especially on the weekends.

Now this is what I call earth shattering news, NOT, but it did tickle my funny bone. Fast food and brunch... who'd thunk!

(53,194 posts)If they served McMimosas the staff would drink the whole batch before opening every morning.
Which couldn't help but improve the food.

(6,795 posts)The temp and time allowed in the drawer is closely monitored, if that helps you at all.

I like sausage but would appreciate other choices than just sage based breakfast sausage.

(154,021 posts)granola, a good serving of oatmeal, if you want to be adventurous and go ethnic, you can alway try tortillas with beans and some hot sauce. Yogurt is common with fruit and muesli in some of Europe too. Hard cheese with fruit is also popular. Did I mention a good potato hash with bacon and cheese?
There are alternatives to the typical american breakfast.
My personal fav is actually tortillas with baked beans,

(7,948 posts)I want dinner for breakfast.
Steak with mushrooms, asparagus, nice salad
I lived 6 years in Germany and got sick of breakfast there as well. I wanted German dinner or at a minimum German lunch.
Every where around the world breakfast sucks. Except Schwartemage. Schwartemage rocks.

(154,021 posts)it is common to have some meat on the griddle, with tortillas and beans and rice. (Usually whatever was left over)
Thai food might be what the doctor ordered as well. Not uncommon to have a good panang or green curry for breakfast.
I like eggs, but rarely. As to the rest of the American classical breakfast, well I like to have my main meal at breakfast.

(1,115 posts)McDonalds breakfast is easy, affordable and has reasonable calorie meals for those who are inclined to look for them. And it tastes good, too. I used to frequently patronize CFA for breakfast but have cut back dramatically as a result of their abhorrent political views. Still, their chicken minis and chicken breakfast burrito are exceptional.

(14,449 posts)I have only had one at Chick Fil A, but it was the best dang burrito I ever had in my life. I had it about a year or two ago and it was amazing. I don't go very often so I have not had another partly because of their politics but also because I just never get around to going. You know when I am in the mood for Chick Fil A????? SUNDAY!!!!!

(80,708 posts)I haven't eaten Mickey D's in probably 15 years or more, but that's my own preference.
I don't actually eat breakfast out much, or really eat breakfast very much at all, save a shitload of coffee. When I do I usually microwave some kind of veggie sausage. Obviously not everyone likes that kind of thing but with a little bit of hot sauce they can be pretty tasty.

(6,795 posts)I'd rather go to Jack in the Box, where they serve their burgers and stuff 24/7.
