Maybe, it is time for the US to normalize relations with Cuba. I noticed an earlier post in DU concerning Syria, Venezuela and the Ukraine. Time to open up another front. We have to start sometime. It's obvious, Russia needs a warm water port in the Ukraine. Normalizing relations with Cuba will just start pulling the rug. A rug that relates to the ole Monroe Doctrine. But, let us not forget the Baltic countries.

While we're on Cuba, it's time to release the detainees, unconditionally. Move'em. My intention here is to promote the greater good of all the people in Cuba and the US. It's been too long.
