All I gotta say is... I really pissed off one Mr Kevin Martin

Yay.

No serious.

http://nadinabbottblog.wordpress.com/2014/03/02/on-the-southern-california-weather-authority/

Go read the comment sections after you read the two updates. I usually do not post my blog here, but damn, this guy is... amazing, and I don't mean it in a good way.

I should clarify why this matters, from Rational Wiki

Kevin Martin is a self-proclaimed "senior meteorologist", founder of TheWeatherSpace.com and SouthernCaliforniaWeatherAuthority.com and internet tough guy. Martin has stated he suffers from "autism and obsessive compulsive disorder"[1] and that Aspergers syndrome makes him "gifted" in meteorology and gives him an "ability to understand it without studying it."[2]

Martin claims HAARP "or HAARP-like projects" are responsible for "abnormal" weather patterns and natural disasters such as Hurricane Sandy.[3][4] Martin's websites feature weather radar images that are indistinguishable from CNN, NOAA, and National Weather Service images that have been doctored and relabeled in Photoshop. Some of these images purport to track and forecast HAARP activity and the spread of chemtrails, however, even the denizens of the conspiracy forum Above Top Secret have become skeptical of Martin's various bombastic claims and activities.[5][6] After Martin began issuing dubious "official" earthquake warnings, "official" hurricane watches, and "official" tornado warnings, the National Weather Service Headquarters issued a press release advising the public not to confuse official NWS or NOAA warnings with Martin's made-up stuff.[7][8]

If you are ANYWHERE in southern California, STAY AWAY from this dude. His current incarnation is the Southern California Weather Authority.

the problem is that they convinced the admins of a formerly good place, I walked away from today, that they were that good. So there is goes, I walked away to avoid any reputation taint.

And I admit, I was taken by his original post on the storm. It looked so much NWS like.

Now don't get me wrong, he is at times decent, even good, at micro weather, but among other things he claimed he was called by Cal Fire to help with the Riverside fire. (insert the laugh tract) since Cal Fire uses their own predictive service, or them pesky people at the National Weather Service.

You can read what other amateur weather people think. Even a known met from the PDX area has commented on him. There was some kind of announcement made by the NWS iirc regarding their non-affiliation with him because he allegedly copies their maps and puts neon colors on them to make them his "own."

if he did not go to my site today and threaten to have it taken down by wordpress. I am sure the folks at wordpress will see a pattern there.

He has been going after me since I called him on his BS as the storm was starting. Him and his brother are real charming, not.

Regardless, the funny thing is if he had not gone after me personally I likely would not have invested the time I did in researching him and finding how much of a fraud he is. The guy is dangerous, and yes, his formatting did confuse me.

after I was told this guy has issued a few death threats to others. He is not limited to Southern California, I wish we were that blessed.

Ohio Weather Authority is his. No hot link no need really.

The Weather Space .com, again no need for a hot link

He also posts, apparently at godlike productions

And the fine folks at Above Top Secret are starting to think he is truly a loon. Now that is an achievement in itself.

He has threatened to shut down facebook.(And FB has shut down a few of his personal pages)

Did I mention google and youtube?

Hey, I don't feel that bad anymore

I post this as a PSA. I wish we were that blessed, truly.

She cited Southern California Weather Authority and provided a hot link to the questionably site in one of her articles.

Southern California Weather Authority, a private forecast site, has issued a statement indicating that “Southern California is about to have one of the strongest dynamical storms in may years, with all the ingredients there for a severe weather event, including the possibility of tornado dynamics. Dynamics like this have not been seen in Southern California since March 1983, when numerous tornado reports across the Basins hit,” the statement concluded, adding, “The tornado environment is increasing.”

who own websites on the Internet. This particular person may enjoy suing people. Even if he has no case, it can still be very expensive to deal with such a lawsuit. Often, it is best to use care when making statements in public about other Internet website writers.

I don't know if you'll see this, but if you do, think about what you post about characters like these. They can cause you a great deal of grief.
